About Our Technology

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

The demand for Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal and laser hair removal treatments are at an all-time high.

IPL Bella Luche hair removal permanently reduces unwanted facial and body hair with more comfort than is possible with traditional procedures.

For many people, looking great is a simple matter of a skin rejuvenation treatment to reveal clearer, more attractive skin.

What is IPL used for?
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser treatments are most commonly used for:
• Lightening and removing sun spots, age spots and brown blotches on the face, neck, chest, hands and other areas of the body.
• Lightening and reducing redness, rosacea, dilated blood vessels and "broken" blood vessels on the face, neck and chest.
• It also has a lesser effect of improving skin texture through collagen stimulation and improves pore size minimally by temporarily reducing oiliness.

How does IPL work?
Intense Pulsed Light systems release precisely controlled strong pulses of filtered light that are absorbed by melanin, the pigment in hair. This heats up the hair and destroys the cells responsible for hair growth, to achieve long term hair reduction.

Intense Pulsed Light treats skin imperfections including age spots, sunspots, and broken capillaries on the face, chest and hands. Light wavelengths penetrate the skin to remove unwanted capillaries and reduce pigmentation, evening-out skin tone and stimulating collagen production in the skin's deeper layer.

IPL, when done properly, almost always consists of a series of 3-5 treatments, usually one every 2-4 weeks. The benefits of IPL treatments are achieved with little discomfort and minimal risk.

How is the treatment carried out?
Following a consultation with professional laser technician, and a test spot to ensure your compatibility with the treatment.

During the IPL treatment, your medical professional will put special glasses or eyepads over your eyes to protect them. A cool gel is then placed on the skin being treated. The smooth glass surface of the handpiece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light flash. You may feel a very slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band.

Microdermabrasion

What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a progressive, safe, non-invasive procedure that propels natural mineral (Corundum) crystals onto the surface of the skin for gentle epidermal abrasion that reveals newer, healthier and younger looking skin.

What are Corundum Crystals?
It is a natural mineral that is used in the food industry. To name a few: tooth whiteners, tooth paste, canned foods like processed cheese, bottled water and lipsticks.

How does microdermabrasion work?
Microdermabrasion works in two ways:
Correction - The speed of the crystal flow causes an abrasive action that gently removes 30% to 50% of the surface layers of the epidermis formed by dead cells.
Stimulation - The vacuum action helps to stimulate microcirculation, increasing the blood supply that provides nutrients needed for regeneration. It also stimulates formation of new collagen and elastin to improve skin texture and elasticity.

Is it painful?
Microdermabrasion is performed with very little discomfort. At the most, sensitive skin might experience a slight sensation resembling light sunburn. After treatment, the skin has a pink glow, and you can resume your normal activities almost immediately. The procedure can be done during lunch hour.

Which skin problems can be treated?
Microdermabrasion is a versatile treatment that can be done on its own, in series or in conjunction with other facial treatments. It allows treatment of a wide range of skin types and problems:
• Sun damaged skin
• Uneven and granular skin
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Enlarged pores
• Blackheads and comedones
• Sensitive
• Couperose
• Superficial scars
• Some stretch marks

Is it safe?
Microdermabrasion offers a gentler alternative to more traumatic resurfacing treatments. It does not involve trauma or bleeding. The microdermabrasion treatment is executed slowly and progressively, removing only superficial layers of the epidermis to reveal a youthful complexion and glow. Your Esthetician has total control and works under the strictest hygiene standards, using sterile, disposable treatment nozzles to ensure your safety.

How long does it take?
Each Microderm treatment takes 30 to 45 minutes. and it can be combined with your choice of facial.

How many treatments will I need?
Age and skin condition determine the number of treatments required to achieve optimum results. For most skin disorders, a minimum of six microdermabrasion treatments are recommended. Results can be seen in both the texture and appearance of the skin after just one treatment. An initial series of treatments, combined with maintenance will result in better skin quality.

Chemical Peels

What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel exfoliates the dead, sloughed, superficial skin to allow more vibrant skin underneath to shine through. It takes away the dull grey look and replaces it with a healthy glow. Without layers of dead skin cells blocking the pores, you will be less prone to breakouts, clogged pores and best yet, your at-home products will penetrate better. Your products will be much more effective.

What are the benefits of Chemical Peels?
Chemical peels or microdermabrasion, or a combination of the two treatments, are an excellent introduction into the benefits of medical esthetics. These treatments allow you to see, feel and sense the difference in only a few minutes. The procedures are fast and convenient, generally between 25 and 45 minutes. There is no recovery time, so you can get back to your routine the very same day.

Is a Chemical Peel painful?
A chemical peel is not painful. There may be a mild tingling sensation and/or itchiness, depending on which peel treatment you are receiving. This sensation only lasts a few minutes and is supervised at all times. After a peel, the skin is sun-sensitive and we will apply a sunscreen immediately afterwards. We also recommend a sun block with an SPF 30 or more for your continued use after the treatment.

What are Chemical Peels made from?
Chemical peels, are derived from natural ingredients, such as sugar cane, milk derivatives, and fruit acids.

What are Chemical Peels useful for?
Benefits of using peels to keep the skin glowing and at its best. Medical-grade peels are much more effective and safer to use today, with the supervision of either a doctor or medical aesthetician.

Chemical Peels will help improve:
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Uneven skin texture
• Acne
• Dehydrated skin
• Dull, sluggish skin
• Sun damage and pigmentation problems
• Rosacea
• Congested skin
• Enlarged pores
• Elasticity
• The ability of the skin to absorb products
